About the Artist
Gediyon Kifle is a Washington, D.C.-based, award winning photographer whose work has been published in numerous magazines, including Gourmet, Elle, a`laCarte, Savoy, The Times Picayune and The Washington Post Magazine. He has also collaborated with the chef Marcus Samuelson on two award winning books: En Smakresa: Middagstips and The Soul of New Cuisine which is a recipient of the James Beard Foundation award for International Book.
Gediyon is the official photographer for the Martin Luther King Memorial Project Foundation. His work can also be found in private collections and museums, in the United Sates and Africa.
Gediyon has a passion for telling stories through photography which has taken him to Africa, Asia, and Europe, as well as many parts of the United States.
