About Larry Allen
I am a graduate of Berea College class of 78 and have been a full-time potter since the mid-eighties. I have exhibited and sold my work at art shows and galleries throughout the US, and my works are in the home of pottery collectors around the world. The Birmingham Museum of Art commission me to make a piece for their permanent collection which is now on display in the Wedgwood gallery in the museum. A couple of years ago some of my pieces were purchased for the movie Black Panther 2. I have several awards for the body of work that I have produced over the years, and I am still striving to create new work with more depth such as double walls with cut/out patterns. I am always looking to push the boundaries so that I can keep my work new and exciting.
