About Stitched!
Lillian Fitzgerald is presenting a body of mixed media works examining the way we categorize and retain our memories. Richly layered collages in the form of open books and house shapes evoke journals, homes, sanctuaries and reliquaries, places where cherished recollections, beliefs and knowledge and objects of faith and enchantment are tucked away and preserved for safe keeping. These works are also about story telling, but as a more intimate undertaking.
