About the Artist
Rance’s earliest introduction to woodworking began with enjoying the unmistakable smell of fresh cut Pine while in his father’s workshop. Being a self-taught artist, Rance has spent over 20 years working with both domestic and exotic woods. He likes the challenge of learning new techniques and combining various mediums with his work. He has won awards for his work. He was asked to participate in building a 30 foot art piece at the Howard Hughes Medical Institute. He also teaches woodworking to inspire others to pursue abilities they never knew they had.
