Teresa K. Howes explores various forms of expression including fiber, photography, writing, music, and speaking to manage the lingering effects of wartime experience.
Teresa’s art has received honors in county and state festivals and fairs.
Artist Statement
Art engages my brain to calm my need to be safe, to trust, and be in control. When I allow myself to create, it offers me the opportunity to blend art and science, experience emotion, physiological sensory responses, spirituality that opens my heart, and compassion in the world. This event makes me feel trusted, safe, heard, seen, and loved.
