Dilip discovered his interest and talent in painting late in life while working in a local art gallery in the early 90s. To further his knowledge of the art world, he started taking art classes at the Corcoran School of Art in Washington DC and eventually took up Art as his carreer.

Dilip is a brilliant colorist who expresses the quaint, subtle beauty of ordinary moments and natural scenes in a way that is bold, intense and dramatic. He emerged with his own unique style of painting from the beginning and developed it over the years, consistently producing quality fine art.

The height of success in promoting his work came when a selection of his work was featured at The New York Art Expo, which is the world’s largest annual fine art trade show and exhibition held in Manhattan.

Over the course of 15 years, Dilip has participated in numerous solo and group shows in the United States, where he has built an impressive number of collectors and a loyal following.

In the fine art world, Dilip is well known for his unique hand embellished limited edition giclee reproductions.

Dilip is an Ethiopian American born and raised in Addis Ababa and immigrated to the United States in 1980. He currently lives with his family in the Nation’s Capitol.
