She is chef-owner of Bar Providencia – named one of the Best Bars in America by Bon Appétit, Food & Wine, and Michelin rated – in Washington D.C., a former U.S. Culinary Diplomat, a Daytime Emmy-nominated television personality, and the founder of Bakers Against Racism, the world’s largest bake sale for social justice. She also served as a mentor and scout for Food & Wine’s Best New Chefs program, championing the next generation of culinary talent.
