Over the last year, Hill Center has had a complete overhaul of its audiovisual equipment! Long gone are the days of wheeling in a dim projector for your conference; Hill Center now has a 10k laser projector mounted to the ceiling of Abraham Lincoln Hall, its largest room, with a floor-to-ceiling screen to match. Each of its main halls- Abraham Lincoln Hall, John Philip Sousa Hall, and Benjamin Drummond Hall- is equipped with a screen, projector, & sound system that has been used for extravagant birthday bashes, film screenings, and high-level conferences.
Friday Fun Concerts till August!
This summer, Hill Center is switching things up with a new Friday Family Fun Concert Series! Every Friday from 5-7 pm, families pile in for live music, dancing, pizza, and cold drinks. It’s been going strong since June, and whether you’re 5 or 50, there’s something here to get you moving and grooving!
Coming up still are:
His interactive style of music inspires kids to move their bodies and use their brains.
Uncle Devin, a celebrated children’s drummer and music educator is returning on July 18.
Groovy Nate creates fun and educational shows using funky grooves, exotic musical instruments, and comedy performs on July 25.
King Bullfrog, a kindie rock trio that plays high-energy tunes, developmentally appropriate for kids and grownups actually like will be back on August 8.
And for our last concert, join music edutainer, Ms. Niki on a colorful adventure through upbeat original songs and classics with a twist you’ve never heard before on August 15.
These concerts are co-sponsored by Hill Center’s Private Events. Our spaces are not just for weddings and conferences but has been involved in many celebrations garnered for kids and family friendly events. The Family Fun Concerts fits the Private Events agenda perfectly. It also is a great way to end the day as parents pick up their kids after spending day camp with one of our camp partners!
