Resilience. An Ash tree fallen to its imminent demise from the Emerald Ash Borer invasive pest. The remnant, a block survived its demise at the mill. Quarter sawn and split attempted the wood remains in tact. Open cavity burned and fire brushed in attempt to ignite the wood. The Ash holds its true form. Standing transformed, a modern message; the strong core of the work will prevail.
