Eastern Market Art Series & Teachings: Make Art at Home For Calvary Women’s Services

In April, the Eastern Market Art Series & Teachings (EAST), a monthly series that brings kids ages 6-10 and artists together to explore a different craft or medium, goes online!  

Here are the details from EAST’s Adrian:

Becca, our incredible EAST fellow, created a wonderful instructional video for this month’s workshop for kids to create art right at home. We also think this is a time of community and giving back, so we’re asking that one of the pieces of artwork be sent to Calvary Women’s Services in Anacostia. They are aware that the artwork is coming over the next couple weeks and the women living there are very excited.

About EAST
Hill Center is pleased to host the Eastern Market Art Series & Trainings (EAST), an ongoing series that brings artists and children (between 6 and 10 years old) together to explore a different craft or medium each month.

EAST has hosted workshops on improv, design, dance, comic books, Claymation, and more. Check EAST’s Instagram page for updates and scheduled workshops. EAST programs are hosted at Hill Center at the Old Naval Hospital every month, usually on the first Sunday from September through May!
