Cooking with Chef Gérard Pangaud

« All Events

Chef Gérard Pangaud is best known in the DC area for his innovative, yet elegant French cuisine at his acclaimed restaurant, Gérard’s Place. The Washington Post restaurant critic Phyllis Richman wrote, it’s “the kind of restaurant every gastronome hopes to have on a list of the little-known treasures of Paris.” Born and raised in a Parisian suburb, Pangaud has earned Michelin stars at two restaurants in France – Rue Montmartre in Paris and his eponymous restuarant in Boulogne, and as Chef of the G-7 Conference, he served dinner at Versailles for President Mitterand, President Ronald Reagan and Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher.

He is masterful with ingredients and regional specialties, and he brings an encyclopedic knowledge of the culinary arts to everything he prepares.

Chef Pangaud offers two series at Hill Center: The Art of French Cooking, a demonstration cooking class, and the Chef’s Table, a seated dinner.
