Sake for Whiskey Lovers: Rich, Aged, and Woody Sakes SOLD OUT!

Are you a whiskey drinker but want to branch out? Most people are familiar with clean and crisp sakes, but many types of sake can mirror the flavors found in your favorite whiskeys!
This class will highlight three different sakes that showcase one of the defining characteristics of whiskey: wood, aging, and intensity. You’ll be able to taste through a unique, Japanese twist on these factors – think native Japanese cedar, aging in hot and humid Japanese temperatures, and sakes with large ABVs that barely stay under the legal limit.
Scott Movens, the founder of Sake District, is a sake expert and educator based in Washington DC. He has multiple sake certifications, including WSET Level 3 with distinction and Certified Sake Professional. Aside from professional qualifications, he brews his own sake and takes frequent research trips to Japan to further his craft.
