New Concert Series to Feature Diverse, Local Singer-Songwriters
Hill Center Launches House Concerts at Hill Center
Hill Center at the Old Naval Hospital announces the launch of House Concerts at Hill Center (“HC@HC”), a new concert series highlighting DMV-based singer-songwriters.
“We are excited about this new opportunity to showcase the extraordinary, diverse talents of singer-songwriters in our area,” says Hill Center Executive Director Diana Ingraham. The series of indoor concerts will create an intimate setting to connect the community and promote local artists.
Haviland Atha-Simonton, Hill Center’s Programming Manager and creator of the concert series, hopes that audiences will “think of HC@HC as your best friend’s living room. Gather, relax, have a beer or a cuppa, and soak in the sounds of your city.” Gabrielle Zwi performed as the premiere of the concert series on February 26th, and tickets for the next three concerts are now available:
- Sunday, March 12th, 4:30pm – 6:30pm: Drew Gibson, a finger-style guitarist from Virginia
- Sunday, April 23rd, 4:30pm – 6:30pm: Ari Voxx & The Sad Lads, a DC indie pop band
- Sunday, May 14th, 4:30pm – 6:30pm: Elena La Fulana, a DC-based Latin, Grammy-nominated instrumentalist & singer
The concert series will be held at Hill Center at 921 Pennsylvania Ave SE, Washington, DC, 20003. For tickets and additional information, please visit the links above for the individual shows or go here to see all upcoming HC@HC concerts.
