Juror Statement

The Hill Center Galleries 2026 Regional Juried Art exhibition is a signature showcase featuring the artistic visions of 121 DMV artists. It was a challenge to review 800 images and curate space for the 124 works selected. The exhibition features a range of interesting aesthetics, artistic techniques, materials, and creative processes.

Prizes are awarded for artistic vision, mastery of techniques, innovative use of materials, and a clear and concise artist statement supporting the work.

I am particularly interested in images which invite the viewer to see differently, to ask questions, to experience a subject, theme, and image from a new perspective.
